VARTA Consumer has increased the shelf lives of all of its best-selling
products in the High Energy and Max Tech AA and AAA ranges. The new blister packs with the new information prominently displayed are now available in stores and offer retailers and consumers alike long-term added value.
An array of technical innovations
Over the years VARTA Consumer has come up with a range of technical innovations that have now enabled it to increase the best before date on all VARTA High Energy and Max Tech batteries to ten years. Electrolytes, fluids that allow the transport of energy within the battery and provide the basis for the optimal chemical reaction, have been at the forefront of this development.
High performing and safe
An enhanced electrolyte formula with high-performance anticorrosion additives ensures that the batteries don’t lose any of their energy, even after ten years in storage. What’s more, thanks to a brand-new manufacturing technique, the batteries now also contain more electrolytes. This guarantees optimum performance, even years after purchase. An improved seal system also provides the highest standards of leak protection.
Made in Germany batteries last longer
The added value for the consumer is clear to see. VARTA Max Tech batteries now last 3 years and VARTA High Energy batteries last five years longer than the previous range – with no loss of quality. This brand-new feature is also clearly displayed on the new packaging.
Blister pack redesign
The design of the blister packs for AA and AAA batteries has been optimized, with the new best before dates now taking pride of place on the front of the packaging. This new addition to the clear blister pack layout now also improves communication at the POS.
As is already the case with the proper presentation of the battery capacities, VARTA sees it important to combine transparency and added value for the consumer in the battery range and integrate these features into a modern, efficient blister pack design. The extended best before dates underline the outstanding quality offered by the High Energy and Max Tech batteries additionally.
